As technological cycles become shorter and uncertainty increases, it is an essential business skill.
Without curiosity, a company can neither strengthen its performance in its core business nor expand effectively into other areas of expertise or new markets. It misses out on opportunities that suddenly emerge from the shocks of a changing world…
Having a few curious people is not enough. Management must encourage the attitude and support the discipline, by setting a framework in terms of subject matter and timing, and by promoting a few good practices.
Employees, for their part, must strive to turning a personal predisposition into a discipline that brings considerable added value to their company in terms of collective learning, initiative, innovation and agility.
